UN-Habitat and the Wuppertal Institute, under the Urban Pathways Project, are diving deep into selected waste management technologies during this webinar series. The presented technologies are supposed to give local and regional government officials, as well as interested stakeholders, an overview of available technology options. However, before implementing technologies, stakeholders should always assess the compatibility with their local situation.

In this fourth part of the webinar, we will dive into Materials Recovery Facilities (MRFs) and the technologies behind them. MRFs are used to sort and sometimes treat waste, and the webinar will cover different types of MRFs, how they function, pros and cons, and much more. We will also look at case studies and experiences so far.
