Stephani Widorini Created an Event in Sustainable Finance,Climate Change 4 years ago The state of EU environmental disclosure in 2020 7 DEC 2020 Register Climate Disclosure Standards Board(CDSB) In the new report CDSB has taken a deep dive into the environmental disclosures of the largest listed companies in the EU. The third in the series, CDSB picks up where its previous report ‘Falling Short?’ left off, and compares what progress has been made. Supported by the LIFE Programme of the European Union, CDSB reviewed the 2020 environmental disclosures of 50 of Europe’s largest listed companies, with a combined market capitalisation of US$3.5 trillion, under the EU Non-Financial Reporting Directive (NFRD), and the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD). We will hear from the recently appointed EU Commissioner Mairead McGuinness on the role of sustainable finance and corporate reporting in the economic recovery from COVID-19 and the achievement of a European Capital Markets Union. Patrick De Cambourg, Chair of the EFRAG project taskforce on Preparatory Work for the Elaboration of Possible EU Non-Financial Reporting Standards, will provide an update on the development of the European Non-Financial Reporting Standard.
