Dr. Rabah Arezki, Chief Economist and Vice President of the African Development Bank Group in charge of Economic Governance and Knowledge Management, will deliver a keynote address on the overall theme of the webinar and its relevance to a green recovery in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic in Africa. Government officials from Nigeria, Tanzania, Madagascar and Mozambique, whose countries are participating in the project, will take part in the event. It will also include senior representatives of the above-mentioned project partner institutions, as well as those from the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the African Union Commission and others. The webinar will discuss practical solutions for taking into account natural capital approaches in development finance. The meeting will also allow the program’s partners and experts to present the results of a pilot infrastructure project conducted using natural capital approaches with the support of the African Development Bank and its partners in Tanzania.
