Stephani Widorini Created an Event in Sustainable Finance 4 years ago "How to advance green bond markets by providing support for cross-border flows" 7 DEC 2020 Register Climate Bonds Initiative(CBI) With increasing concerns over climate change, many see climate finance as a solution to fund sustainable projects. Climate-related projects in some nations can have difficulties accessing finance because of risk perceptions around development and rates of return; therefore, it is essential to develop innovative financing instruments. Most recently, power purchasing agreements (PPA) and green bonds became popular instruments to develop renewable energy and other climate-related projects. Previous Webinars- Heading & Currency Risk The next webinar follows on the previous two episodes in CBI's ASEAN Series that presented a study conducted by Astris Finance and the TCX Fund on how the hedging of currency risk in renewable energy projects influences the ability to use green bonds in offshore currencies, with a focus on financing local solar, hydro or wind projects in Indonesia, Vietnam, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Nepal & Bangladesh.
