The objective of this workshop is to enhance awareness and capacity of governments and other relevant stakeholders to develop and apply gender analyses as key tools of gender-responsive climate decision-making, programming and action at multiple levels.

As included in the UNFCCC Gender Action Plan (Decision 3/CP.25, Activity A.3), gender analysis includes collecting and analysing sex-disaggregated and other gender data and information across key climate sectors. The workshop will include a general introduction and background to gender analysis, information on tools, guidelines and training and provide an opportunity for discussion and exchange of good practices on gender analysis in the context of climate change, including from diverse Party perspectives and experiences.
