To keep on track on the Paris agreement, the COP26 in Glaskow determines the direction of key aspects of the fight against global warming. Chief among them is how well nations have implemented their commitments under the Paris Agreement to limit global warming to well below 2℃, and the extent to which they will increase that ambition, also the discussion in Glaskow includes climate finance to developing nations, adaptation to climate change and carbon trading rules. Global climate talks involve people from all around the globe with different interests, preferences, and mandates sometimes call “red lines”. Considering those aspects, the webinar serie of CAPCI in its session 3 has as a focus on Climate Policies to discuss the potential contributions of the chemical industry for implementing ambitious NDC’s at country-level as well as enabling factors and effective climate policies.
