Africa Green Economy Conference

27 JUN 2022 - 30 JUN 2022

On 27-30 June 2022, the Green Growth Knowledge Partnership (GGKP), Capitals Coalition, Green Economy Coalition (GEC), and World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) are hosting the Africa Green Economy Conference.

The conference will explore opportunities for investing in nature and developing public policy that better values Africa's unique natural capital assets, which are key to ensuring a strong and inclusive recovery, and the transition to a nature-positive economy following the COVID-19 pandemic. Under the theme Innovative Pathways for a Nature-Positive Future from Policy, Business, and Finance, the conference will present new research and initiatives, share best practices, and engage stakeholders in finance, government, business and civil society.

This hybrid conference is organized under the Economics for Nature (E4N) and Natural Capital for African Development Finance (NC4-ADF) initiatives, with support from the MAVA Foundation and German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ).

Join the discussion around Africa's green economy on the dedicated Africa Green Economy Conference Green Forum group!

The conference will feature two virtual plenary sessions on 27 June and 30 June.
