The MGCY Chemicals and Waste Youth Platform (CWYP) is facilitating youth engagement in the Basel, Rotterdam, and Stockholm (BRS) Conventions. We are pleased to circulate the following information on the upcoming joint BRS Conferences of the Parties (COPs) taking place in Geneva, Switzerland from 1-12 May 2023 and regional preparatory meetings that will happen throughout March-May.

The chemicals youth constituency is mobilizing youth participation towards the next 2023 joint conferences of the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm Conventions (BRS COPs), which will take place from 1-12 May 2023 in Geneva (Switzerland) and regional preparatory meetings beginning in March 2023 (see schedule below):

• Asia-Pacific: 14-16 March 2023, in Bangkok, Thailand
• Africa: 21-23 March 2023, in Dakar, Senegal; organized with support from the BCRC/SCRC Senegal
• Eastern Europe: 28-30 March 2023, in Zagreb, Croatia; organized with support from the BCRC Slovakia
• Latin America and the Caribbean: 28-30 March 2023, in Panama City, Panama; organized with support from the BCRC/SCRC Panama
