About this Discussion

According to the UN, nearly one-third of people globally lack access to safely managed drinking water services, and over half lack access to safely managed sanitation facilities. This lack of access can have potentially significant adverse impacts on people’s health, through water-related diseases, in addition to productivity and environmental impacts. The COVID-19 pandemic has compounded the situation, and has demonstrated the critical importance of sanitation, hygiene and adequate access to clean water for preventing and containing diseases.

While substantial progress has been made in increasing access to clean drinking water and sanitation, billions of people – mostly in rural areas – still lack these basic services. More needs to be done to improve the situation and achieve one of the Sustainable Development Goals, which calls for ensuring access to water and sanitation for all. The challenge lies in finding a way to use the world’s water more efficiently and make it available to all at a reasonable cost, while leaving sufficient quantities to sustain the environment. Green growth policies in the water sector can address issues of both quantity and quality by encouraging water-related innovation and investment in green infrastructure, and through integration with policies in other relevant sectors.

I am drafting this project file with a preliminary vision to provide you with brief idea about of my emotions, feelings, duty and responsibility towards the universe, nature and the mother Earth. 01st of March 2021 was the 253rd day in straight row to offer my services free of any charges or financial aid.
I have shared couple of videos, images and stories via Facebook and Instagram, but due to the length of the videos and its heavy content, few of the videos I have uploaded on YouTube platform. Furthermore, I wish to share this message to my brothers, sisters and everyone on this planet, also those hanging up in space stations and some others submerged in marines in deep oceans. I am reaching out to you with the full intentions and pleading request to act now and restore faith in humanity. We must unite to save our future, the legacies created, the landmarks embarked by our ancestors, and the fruitful future of our innocent children.
Past two years has been very stressful years of my life, as this time I was engaged in learning life, uncovering myths, truth behind the masks of people, travel, poetry, songs, charity, volunteering and so on, and this Covid19 pandemic brought major changes in my life. I must say in those beautiful 253 days I have evolved physically, mentally and spiritually, these days taught me how to love myself whilst caring and loving the nature and the people around me, the oceans have taught me to be humble, more kind and that’s what it is called as good 253 days of retreat which everyone needs now. I am so grateful and thankful to the blessed 253 days and looking forward to, many more days and years to come ahead, and the research says a true and honest author or the poet will never lie at any stage of his life or time and that’s the reason may be most of my poems, writings and thoughts and quotes are in so much provoking the minds of people as it’s the truth and only the one who is real will have the guts to face and embrace it
Here I am drafting the references which have always inspired me from my childhood.
कर्मण्ये वाधिका रस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन। मा कर्म फल हेतु र्भूर्मा ते सङ्गोऽस्त्व कर्मणि॥
Karmanye vadhika raste, Ma phaleshu kadachana Ma karma phala he tur bhuh, ma te sangotsva karmanye 'karmanye vadhika raste, Ma phaleshu kadachana' is famous shloka from Gita. Lord Krishna explains to Arjuna the theory of Karmas. He said believe in yourself and do your Karma (action) and success will follow you automatically. Doing Karma is in our hands only, Result is not in our hands. Below given is meaning of famous Shloka from Bhagavad Gita. You have a right to “Karma” (actions) but never to any Fruits thereof. You should never be motivated by the results of your actions, nor should there be any attachment in not doing your prescribed activities. And the only expectations I have and the things I need in return for the gift to this universe are;

Interesting restoration project: a 1,000-year-old network of water channels is helping farmers in the Sierra Nevada adapt to the effects of the climate crisis.

José María Martín Civantos, archaeology professor and the driving force behind the project, said: “The system is efficient, the aquifers get replenished and no technology is required...It’s much more manageable and adaptable than building a dam and much more resistant to climate change.”

This post is offered in honor and recognition of World Water Day 2022 and our focus across the globe on groundwater. Some of us call it “The Buried Treasure”...

Source (Drinking) Water Protection: It Takes a Community!

Source Water protection, or lack thereof, affects every person on the planet. Everyone needs safe drinking water. But that does not always mean safe drinking water is affordable, or easily accessible.

Safe drinking water should never be taken for granted! Just as it takes a village to raise its children, it takes a community to protect its drinking (source) water and the watersheds providing public/private drinking water supplies.

Community Source Water Protection (CSWP) is the theme of a 16 part series I have developed and posted on LinkedIn and is also available upon request. Concepts presented and discussed with regards to public water systems can also be used by private well owners.

Hi to the group, to reduce water consumption, we have designed this shower timer with cut off to prevent from wasting water and gas. It is programmable and restricts the maximum time for shower and when it has been used, it blocks the shower and keeps it shut during the waiting time we have previously set. Therefore, the user has to abandon the the shower and water and energy are being saved. Saves up to 80% of water and energy.
